Senior ServiceNow™ Developer

Description: The Senior ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for the development and administration of solutions within the ServiceNow environment. The developer will work with members of the ServiceNow team, internal customers, and external vendors to design, implement, test, document, and deploy enhancements, fixes, and configuration changes needed to support the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and configuration of a variety of areas including, but not limited to Service Portal, Change, Problem, Incident, Service Catalog, Knowledge, Release / SDLC, Asset Management, Configuration Management (CMDB), Project, Time Cards, CMS, Mobility and Reporting.
  • Collaborate with team members to define, analyze, understand and document business and technical requirements.
  • Design and develop / configure workflows, forms, scripts and underlying logic using SCRUM / Agile methodologies.
  • Formulate testing approach, test cases and document them.
  • Unit and regression test implemented solutions as required. Support User Acceptance Tests and implement code into Production.
  • Participate / conduct code walkthroughs. Develop coding standards.
  • Participate in and support ServiceNow version upgrades. Install, test and take new applications live in ServiceNow.
  • Offer technical solutions to address complex requirements. Evaluate alternate solutions, identify the best option and implement the solution.
  • Create technical architecture, design and user guide documentation.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and remedy identified system issues.
  • Coach and oversee the activities of ServiceNow support partner resources on an as-needed basis.
  • Provide on-call support when Production issues occur.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, extensive familiarity with the field’s concepts, practices and procedures is required.
  • 6+ years of experience working with ITSM solutions in an enterprise environment.
  • 4+ years of ServiceNow development / implementation / administrative experience
  • Experience working with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including AngularJS), XML, SOAP, REST, Jelly, etc.)
  • Experience working with databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
  • Experience working with large global / multinational corporations.
  • Experience integrating internal and external (SaaS based) applications.
  • Exposure to Identity Management and Single Sign on/Active Directory integrations.
  • Superior attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand complex business needs and adapt appropriately.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies applicable to the ServiceNow platform.

Desired Characteristics

  • Certified ServiceNow Administrator, Certified ServiceNow Implementation Specialist.
  • ITIL v3 Certification or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant software development certifications.
Junior ServiceNow™ Developer

As a junior ServiceNow developer you will be closely involved in the implementation of ServiceNow projects for our customers around the globe.

You would be expected to familiarize yourself step by step with each phase of a software development project, and to assume your own responsibilities, especially in relation to independent programming tasks.

Our ServiceNow projects combine ITIL-based process consultancy and tool implementation in accordance with agile methods (scrum)

Your responsibilities

  • Agile, customer-oriented development of ServiceNow applications and interfaces using JavaScript and HTML/CSS, from concept drafting to qualified documentation
  • Consulting services and implementation tasks with a focus on relevant technologies
  • Assistance in the rollout of new ServiceNow applications and modules
  • Support for release management, including troubleshooting and adjustments

Your qualifications

  • Some professional experience in software development or web development
  • Good working knowledge of JavaScript or comparable web technologies
  • Minimum basic knowledge of SQL, HTML, XML, and CSS, as well as client/server

  • Fluent English and University degree
  • ITIL Foundations Certifications preferred
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator preferred

ServiceNow™ Solutions Architect

The ServiceNow Solutions Architect leads external implementation and support for ServiceNow clients. Primary responsibilities will be delivering ServiceNow implementation engagements and secondary responsibility for supporting pre and post sales interactions as a subject matter expert.

Summary of essential job functions

  • Leads all technical aspects of project and solution delivery including:
    • Solutions Architecture, with specific emphasis on leading efforts involving Process, Solution Design, and Integration.
    • Lead customer discovery workshops.
    • Provide Technical Leadership and assurance of best practices.
    • Manage multiple projects concurrently.
    • Design, Build, and Deploy required enhancements to the ServiceNow Platform.
    • Implementation of ServiceNow for ITSM, Discovery, Orchestration, PPM, and other modules.
    • Provide support for workflow design and configuration efforts.
    • Lead UNIT testing efforts and oversee project UAT.
    • Development of required client specific reporting and dashboards.
    • Configure required integration components (SSO, LDAP, Mid Servers, etc.)
  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert partnering with the Services Organization to drive the development and execution of the ServiceNow project activities, working with the project team to define, sequence and estimate duration of project activities and duration of schedule to meet project objectives
  • Manages the identification, resolution and escalation of ServiceNow related issues and risks.
  • Travel will be required on an as necessary basis. Travel could be up to 50% during key customer implementations.
  • Serves as a key member of the overall implementation project team.
  • Prepares client facing and internal deliverables that are technology related.
  • Drives the continuous improvement of our implementation methodologies and service offerings based on client experiences.
  • Establish yourself as a technical expert with varying industry knowledge.

  • 5+ yrs. experience in Design and Implementation of ITSM platforms and at least 3+ yrs. experience on ServiceNow Platform.
  • Experience with leading the process definition, design & implementation of Configuration Management and its supporting processes on ServiceNow / other industry leading Configuration management tools, preferably in a consulting role.
  • Experience with full lifecycle ServiceNow implementations.
  • Fundamental understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including: SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, FTPS.
  • Experience with scripting in the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, Jelly, and/or AngularJS including: Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Pages, Widgets, etc.
  • Must have solid experience designing and involvement in building integrations to ServiceNow.
